Through a call for applications, the FHF Fund for Research and Innovation invites innovative healthcare SMEs to apply for the FHF Fund Innovation Awards 2027.

For this new edition, the Awards go international and are open to SMEs based in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, whose solutions could be applied or deployed in French healthcare and social care facilities.

Finalist companies will be invited to present their solution in the Innovation Sector at SantExpo 2027, which will bring together innovative companies, healthcare and social care facilities, and ecosystem players for three days.

Finalists will get a dedicated exhibition space and take part in the awards ceremony held during SantExpo, on May 25, 26 & 27, 2027.

đź’ˇ Six Categories to Reward Healthcare Innovation

The Innovation Awards aim to identify, promote, and raise awareness of innovative solutions that can meet the needs of healthcare and social care facilities.

For the 2027 edition, companies can enter their solution in one of the following six categories:
  1. Patient Experience & Care Pathways

  2. MedTech, Robotics & Care Technologies

  3. Sustainable Health & Climate Resilience

  4. Women’s Health

  5. Medicine in the Age of AI

  6. Independent Living & Home Care
Each company may apply in several categories, provided it submits a different solution in each one.

Call for applications opens: October 12, 2026

Application deadline: December 21, 2026, 12:00 pm (GMT+1)


Eligibility check: January 2027

Application review and notification of candidates invited to audition: February 5, 2027


Auditions of selected companies: March 1–12, 2027


Finalists notified: March 18, 2027


Public vote and announcement of winners: SantExpo, May 25, 26 & 27, 2027

✨ New in 2027: The Public Joins the Vote

After the applications are reviewed and the auditions are held, three finalists per category will be selected and invited to exhibit in the Innovation Sector during SantExpo.

For the first time, SantExpo visitors will be able to vote for their favorite innovation in each category.
Their vote will help determine the winners, alongside the juries’ evaluation.
